Welcome to Songbird Music & Arts Studio, where we've been nurturing musical exploration since 2015! Our Music Together® classes are designed for children, their parents and caregivers to discover the joy of music through interactive play and song using research-based, developmentally appropriate early childhood music curriculum. We believe that every child has the innate ability to love and connect with music. Our Music Together classes are not about performance or talent; instead, we focus on nurturing a love for music and developing solid musical foundations. Through interactive and engaging activities, our goal is to inspire creativity, promote musical development, and foster social skills, all while having a joyful time with others! At Songbird Studio, your child will embark on a joyful journey of musical discovery that will last a lifetime. Join us and watch your little ones thrive in a musical environment that values growth and exploration!

"Teacher Beth was absolutely phenomenal. My 12 month old loved the class and I loved the variety of props, instruments, songs, and activities. I especially appreciated a lack of "kiddie music" (like wheels on the bus, etc.) so their little brains could hear other languages and rhythms. I was fantastic."

Kathleen Watson

“Great interaction with the kids and parents. Heather is fantastic and is so enthusiastic! This class reminds me we aren't on an island in parenting.”

Milena Pointer

“My son loved the class! Heather has such a positive energy and enthusiasm that are contagious. ”

Jennifer Lawrence

“I loved how intentional the instructor was at including all of the children at their level and the pace of the class was good. The music selected was easy for parents to follow along and easily modified for home activities. The instructor game some ideas for doing that which was nice. ”

Leah King

“I loved how patient teacher Beth was with my son. He connected with her right away. ”

Gabriella Ripley

“I love the environment and the parents and their kids. I love the location and the teachers! ”

The music specialist teaches the Music Together curriculum to children in school and early learning settings. The classroom teachers and teacher aides participate fully in classes, and the Music Together specialist partners with them so that music is also incorporated into daily classroom activities. Bonus: "Family Jams" once a semester!

Babies

You might be wondering what your newborn could possibly take away from a music class and how old they have to be before they can benefit. We know it's never too early to get babies started in class! Your little one is a natural-born music-maker, ready to start learning music at birth. As in everything, you are your baby's first and best teacher. But don't get nervous! When you sing in the car and dance in the living room, you're showing your baby how to make music and that making music is important to your family. That's all your baby needs from you—musically, at least! (Food, clothing, and shelter are useful, too.)

In the Music Together Babies class, for infants from birth through 8 months, you'll learn a lot of fun musical activities for babies. You'll also learn to recognize which of your baby's behaviors are musical so that you can support their development at the time when your baby's brain is at its most receptive. The Babies class has other benefits, too! Singing and dancing with your baby is a beautiful way for the two of you to bond. And making music with other parents of newborns is a great way to make new friends in your community who are as sleep deprived as you!

Central to the Music Together® approach is that young children learn best from the powerful role model of parent and caregivers who are actively making music. The program brings families together by providing a rich musical environment in the classroom, and, by facilitating family participation in spontaneous musical activity at home within the context of daily life. Each Mixed-Age Family registration Includes a take-home songbook and apps to download music! Ages 0 - 6yrs.

Coming Up Next...

Join us for the Tambourine Song Collection this Spring!
You'll learn twenty-five Music Together songs and activities you can recreate at home, including our first French-Canadian folk song, "V'là l'bon vent." Your children will experience the contrast between galloping, slowing, sleeping, then jumping up with delight to gallop again in "See the Pony Galloping." In addition to your weekly classes, your tuition includes recordings and materials for you to use at home, including an illustrated songbook and access to the songs through the Music Together app.
