Heather Villa, Owner & Director

Mixed-Age Family Teacher, In-School Teacher, Director

Director and teacher, Heather Villa has been an award winning professional Jazz Singer in the Spokane area since 1999, and still actively performs with her band Villa Blues n' Jazz and the Spokane Jazz Orchestra. Her small children and husband inspired her to redirect most of her focus to early music education and family music making. Heather started Spokane's Songbird Consulting Music Together program in 2015, which continues to be her passion and joy, bringing more teachers and families together in music! She will be returning from maternity leave this Fall, to teach Mixed-Age Family classes, Wednesdays & Thursdays at 10:30am, a NEW Babies class, Thursdays at 11:30am, and she continues to teach with local preschools. 

Jennifer Slaughter

Tuesdays 4:30pm

Miss Jennifer Slaughterwho is a professional flutist and plays with the Spokane Symphony, is excited to return to teach at our center this Fall! Jennifer will be teaching Mixed-Age Family classes on Tuesdays at 4:30pm and is very excited to also bring our first Rhythm Kids (5-8yrs) class Tuesdays at 5:30pm, to our center! She has also enjoyed bringing Music Together to the HOPE school, bringing music to those children hearing for the first time. 

Chelsea Inman

Sundays 10:30am, In-School Teacher

Miss Chelsea Inman is currently an experienced preschool center teacher at the Community Building Children's Center and we are lucky enough to have her expertise and enthusiasm at our center teaching Mixed-Age Family classes! She will be returning to teach Sundays at 10:30am, this Fall. Chelsea is a mother, wife, and Reggio Emilia preschool teacher... and is learning the ukulele this year! 

Hannah Thomsen

Thursdays 10:30am

Hannah Thomsen is a former Music Together family class parent, a full time massage therapist, musician, passionate gardener, mother and wife, with a whole lot of FUN in one package! We are excited to announce that Hannah will be taking over teaching our beloved Generations Mixed-Age Family class (families + "Grandfriends"), on Thursdays at 10:30am, this Fall.

Michelle Lodato

Mondays 4:30pm, In-School Teacher

Miss Michelle Lodatois a pianist, horse lover, music lover and Spokane Music Together teacher since 2017! She is currently teaching at Creative Minds Bright Minds Performance Arts Preschool Tuesdays, and will be returning to teach a family class Mondays at 4:30pm this Fall. 

Melinda Sauder

Mixed-Age Family Teacher, In-School Teacher

Miss Melinda Sauder is one of the Music Together pioneers in Spokane! With over 10 years experience teaching Music Together, we are so grateful for her guidance and support as we have grown our center. Melinda substitute teaches our family classes for us, mentors our teachers, and teaches at a couple of our In-School locations... and we are excited to announce that Melinda will be offering "Music Within Therapy" classes at our center... coming soon!

Beth Crespan

Mixed-Age Family Teacher

We welcome teacher Beth Crespan this fall, to our Spokane Center! Beth served as the Director of Music Together of Marin in Northern CA for almost 20 years. She is a certified Music Together® teacher and professional early childhood music specialist. Beth loves to sing, play guitar, banjo and ukulele!  Since childhood, Beth has been passionate about making music and performing. Her love for music and children shines bright in all the classes she teaches.
